Anti-abortion protestors failed in their attempts to stop the Dutch boat from docking.
The Dutch abortion boat has finally managed to dock in Valencia port on the third attempt. Protestors led by Catholic groups took to a series of boats yesterday to try and keep the ‘Women on Waves’ vessel offshore.
Reports indicate that the boat finally managed to dock during the afternoon, despite reports that it had not permission to do so.
This is the first demonstration by the Dutch non-governmental organisation in Spain, demanding changes in the abortion regulations. Protestors claim they are carrying out procedures on the boat when in international waters.
