SO--ooo Mr. ZPT.
Do you now realise what it means to have insulted the USA. Because you have
been so-- big-headed and egotistic, you are now shouting from outside the
gates to be allowed in. It is the Spanish people who suffer, due to your
stupidity. How ignorant.

Spain left out of the global summit on the world economy in Washington
larger | smaller
By h.b. - Oct 23, 2008 - 6:41 AM
Spanish Prime Minister, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, has been protesting that as the world's eighth economy Spain should be present.
Despite the protestations from the Prime Minister, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, and the late support of the French President, Nicolas Sarkozy, Spain has not been invited to the world summit on the economic crisis to be held in the United States next month.
The White House has announced that the G20 countries are invited, and spokesman Tony Fratto explained that there was no decision to exclude Spain, and that the countries opinions will be welcomed through other leaders who will be present or through the European Commission.
Spain is not part of the G20 which was created in 1999 in answer to the financial crisis at the end of the 90’s and included the emerging countries.
Zapatero continues to protest and insist that Spain, as the world’s eighth largest economy, should be present.
Meanwhile, The IBEX Spanish stock market lost 8.16% yesterday, the second largest haul in history, in what traders said were falls due to pessimism about the state of the economy. Poor quarterly results from large United States companies did nothing to help the fears of a global recession.
The market was also affected by the decision in Argentina to nationalise private pensions companies. Telefónica, Repsol, BBVA and Santander were the big losers.

Yes, we all remember the lack of respect that the Prime Minister displayed
to the American flag and it's people. Not only is Spain suffering because
of this egotistic act, but will contuine to because the lack of maturity
that Zapato displays...

I truly believe that the USA wants to be a true friend to Spain... there
are many years under the bridge together. But ZP wanted to show that he
was a big man on campus... and seemed to enjoy spitting into the wind and
pulling on Superman's cape.... and you just don't do that.......

All I wonder is... where is he getting the info that Spain is the worlds
eighth largest economy.
Maybe he's including all the black money in his calculations ;-)

Whilst ZPT is at the helm, all of us will never have the chance of being
represented at the top table. We all KNOW, what that means, We do not need
a mediocre head of government and his cronies running Spain right now. The
needs of the spanish people are too important.

Why would Rodríguez be invited. Everyone knows that, in reality, Spain is
a third world country governed by an elected dictatorship.

You can blame Zapatero all you want... but the truth is this: the reason
why Spain is not being invited is not Zapatero (what the hell do they care
how he manages or doesn't manage Spanish internal affairs?), but the fact
that the whole country decided to deliberately turn their backs on USA's
imperialist endevours in Iraq, kicking the PP out of power and voting for
the left-wing anti-war party. There, simple as that. Kudos to Spain, you
taught many a lesson, like a good Don Quixote, Spain couldn't care less if
he becomes inpopular or picked on... Spain has honor and that is what
matters to them.

And it is hard to have too much honour when you are hungry. It does not
matter if Zapatero is Left, Right or Centre, I don't want all my friends
and family to be unemployed. We need a growing economy,The Spanish people
need growth to prosper. I don't give a rats ass for politics, but the poor
suffering spanish people need a voice .
The WHOLE country did not turn their backs on the USA, It was just one Ass who was so rude and sat down as the US flag passed by,I may have voted for him but that was a mistake , as we are finding out now.
