The event will take place over the first weekend of December.

Málaga Ayuntamiento will, later today, confirm the presence of Rafa Nadal in the Málaga Masters International Tennis Championship.

The event will take place in the Martin Carpena sports hall in the city over the first weekend in December.

Talks with Nadal’s representatives have been taking place for weeks. The event will be televised on the La2 channel in Spain.

Meanwhile Nadal has moved into the quarter finals of the Master Series last meet of the season in Paris after beating the local hero, Gael Monfils, 6-3, 6-2.
