British man killed in traffic accident in Málaga

Three cars were involved in the accident at 2.20am on Sunday morning which also saw another Briton being seriously injured.

A 24 year old Briton, named as Lee Wright, has died in a multiple car crash, involving three vehicles, on the A7 at the 236.9km point, by the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos, direction Torremolinos, in Málaga. It happened at 2,20am Sunday morning.

Six people, all aged between 19 and 26, were injured in the accident, three of them seriously, two of whom had to be freed from the wreckage by firemen. The injured were taken to the Clínico Hospital.

The injured have been identified with initials as follows :-
Seriously hurt M.J.X. is a 23 year old Australian male, P.F.I. is a 25 year old male, and J.A.P. a 21 year old woman.
Slightly injured were 19 year male G.L.M., 22 year old female E.G.M., and a 26 year old male A.G.V.

It appears that one car had first hit the central reservation.

Meanwhile in a separate incident on Sunday, a 23 year old driver died after hitting a wall at the 132km point on the A92. It’s thought the driver had died at the wheel.
Nationally 29 people lost their lives on the roads of Spain over the weekend, eleven of them motorbike riders.
