The average Spanish family is expected to spend 910 € this year, 43 percent less than last.A study from consulting firm Deloitte, has shown that 60% of Spaniards are planning to spend less than normal this Christmas, because of the economic crisis.
The expected spend per family will be 910 €, which is 43% less than that seen last year. Despite the fall in spending Spain will remain third in Europe on the lost of countries to spend most over the festive season, behind only Ireland and the United Kingdom.
Most of the cutbacks here will be made on food and presents.
Experts tell us to compare prices before purchase, but in Spain already many expect people to wait for the January sales before buying their presents for the Kings.
