A Dutchman and a resident of the United States have been arrested for selling the fake drugs over the Internet.
The Civil Guard has recovered an important haul of Viagra, Levitra and Cialis. In fact 90,000 pills have been impounded in an operation carried out at Puerto Lumbreras in Murcia.
Two arrests were made, of a Dutch man and another from the United States, who now faces charges of acting against public health and against industrial copyright given that the pills are all fake, albeit excellent looking copies, but with only 68% of the active ingredient. The pills have an estimated value on the black market of 1 million 300,000 €.
The Civil Guard started their investigations last March when they were alerted to advertisements on internet web pages.
The warehouse used by the duo to store the drugs in Puerto Lumbreras was in a poor condition and home to many dogs and cats, together with their food and excrement.
