Car thief drives off with child in the backseat

The thief left the child on the pavement shortly after taking the car in Alicante.

Newspaper La Verdad reports that a car thief who stole a car in Alicante drove off without realising that there was a child in the back of the vehicle.

The mother had left her daughter in the car while she took her other daughter into a nearby nursery. She arrived back on the scene in time to see the thief driving away.

The thief left the child on a nearby pavement, escaping with the vehicle. The girl was recovered by local police just minutes later.
