The new twice daily service takes off on December 18.Two new daily flights from Ryanair will bring 20,000 more tourists a month to El Altet airport in Alicante. New twice daily services to London Gatwick start on December 18.
Local hoteliers have welcomed the news, saying that quality remains at the top of the British tourists requirements.
Meanwhile in a separate incident at El Altet yesterday, eight passengers refused to board a Spanair flight after there was a half an hour delay because of a fault refrigeration valve.
Flight JK-6703 finally set off for Barcelona without further problems.
