The new owners of the luxury establishment are the Russian group, Northwest Oil.
Los Monteros Hotel in Marbella has been sold to the Russian group, Northwest Oil.
Reports in La Opinion de Málaga newspaper this morning say that the current Lebanese owners, who also run the Las Dunas Hotel in Estepona, owe two months wages to the 180 workers at the establishment, and that the new owners will take over the management from December 1.
Northwest Oil is listed on the United States stock market.
The 5 star Los Monteros was opened in Mabella in 1962 and has since then been a reference point for luxury in the town.
