Murcia City Hall presents budget for next year

The main project is the creation of the new tramway in the city.
Murcia City Hall presented the budget for next year yesterday at 535.3 million €. The number is 50 million lower than for this year, with the Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, blaming the crisis for the reduction, with less income from plus valia taxes from construction.
Most of the money goes to the new tramline project which will link the universities and commercial centres. Construction will start in August and last for some 13 months.
77 million € is also to be pent on a new Olympic sports centre and the City Hall also plans to renovate key buildings such as the casino and the Romeo theatre.
