77 year old arrested for domestic violence murder

The victim's body was found in a local reservior on Wednesday in Arico.

A 77 year old man has been arrested in Santa Cruz de Tenerife in connection with the death of his girlfriend. A.G.B. is accused of killing the woman whose body appeared in a reservoir in Arico last Wednesday.

She had placed an official complaint about him for ill treatment in October 2004 and had some protection since August 2005, but there was no official protection currently in force, according to sources. The couple had lived together for some 20 years.
