The numbers come from a Europe wide survey carried out by Mediascope in September this year.The Internet has overtaken television as the most consumed media in Spain according to a new Europe-wide survey carried out by Mediascope in September this year. 9,000 people were questioned in total, 1,000 of them in Spain.
32% said they would be lost without the internet and internet obtained an average of 12.1 hours use a week, compared to 11.7 for the television.
Radio came in at 10.8 hours a week, 22% down on 2004.
The study also allowed for people to simultaneously consume more than one media, and revealed that 23% had the television on when online, while 21% listened to the radio.
