Cómpeta Business Association plans way forward

By Cómpeta Online - Dec 19, 2008 - 12:08 PM
There will be a general meeting on 15th January at 19:30 in the Salón de Actos, Cómpeta Town Hall, to vote in the definitive committee.
A meeting of the temporary committee of the Cómpeta Business Association was held last night to decide the way forward.
Cómpeta is a great place to visit any time, but as the building cranes are slowly being moved out of the village, it starts to get back to the picturesque village it once was. There are proposals to actively promote the village with some business people taking their own initiatives with promotions on the coast.
However, given the current economic climate, Spain in general has to be more competitive with its pricing. Given the downturn in the numbers of British visitors due to the poor exchange rate, Spain will need to explore new markets such as the Scandanavian countries and Asia.
The association could not come at a better time for Cómpeta, and the town hall have also prepared plans for promoting the area. With the public and private sectors working together, is well placed to move forward and rediscover its rightful place on the tourist route.
