The Spanish Meteorological Agency AEMET says most areas will be wet tonight.
Hopes for a dry midnight on New Year’s Eve in Spain appear to have been dashed in the latest forecasts.
The New Year will start wet in most areas of the country, and what’s more the rain will continue in many parts until the arrival of the Three Kings on January 5 and 6.
A new front will cross the country from the west from January 2 and extend the rain to all areas, with the Strait, Melilla and Baleares seeing the worst of the weather on Saturday.
Rain will also continue on the Canaries, especially in the east.
Persistent rain in the western third of Andalucía today.
Temperatures will be little changed.
