The body of the child still had part of the umbilical cord attached and was found on the beach Sunday.
Málaga National Police are now looking for the parents of the baby girl found dead on the Huelin beach in the city last Sunday.
It’s now known the child was far younger than first reported, and indeed still had the umbilical cord attached.
The autopsy has shown the Caucasian baby did not drown despite being found in the water, but more details of the cause of death have not been officially revealed. Diario Sur Newspaper is reporting this morning that the child was alive when thrown into the sea.
