Win for Mallorca and away goal for Athletic in the Kings Cup

Meanwhile tragedy in Barcelona were a 14 year old footballer collapsed and died during training.

There were two more first leg matches to complete the last 16 in the King’s Cup last night, which ended Osasuna 1 Athletic de Bilbao 1, and Mallorca 3 Almería 1.
Llorente equalised in the final minutes for Athletic with the all-important away goal.
Mallorca must now be favourites to qualify after the goals from Keita, Cléber and Valera. The press reports that the decisions of referee went against Almería.

Tragically, a 14 year old footballer has died after collapsing on the pitch during training in L’Hospitalet in Barcelona yesterday afternoon. It’s thought that death could have been caused by a sudden cardiac arrhythmia but the youngster had no signs of any heart lesions.

UEFA has told Real Madrid that they cannot use their new transfer signings, Lass and Huntelaar in the Champions League.
