Reporting restrictions have been lifted in the case against Santiago del Valle.

Reporting restrictions have been lifted by the judge in Instruction Court 1 in Huelva which is investigating the death of the Huelva five year old, Mari Luz Cortés.

The case is expected to reach court in about two months time, but with the release of the summary we now know the results of the forensic investigation. This was looking at hair and fibres which were found in the car of Rosa del Valle, the wife of the main accused, Santiago del Valle, in which Mari Luz was allegedly moved, but reports say that the evidence is not conclusive.

Rosa is reported to be completely devoted to her husband and is alleged to have covered up the crime which at one stage Santiago admitted carrying out, although saying the child died by accident.

The autopsy however indicated that when she was thrown into marshland in Huelva she was in fact still alive.
