Barcelona keep their lead and Real Madrid move up to second.
Leo Messi once again shone in the fog of Osasuna as Barcelona maintained their lead at the top of the Primera Liga with two late goals to obtain a 2-3 away win against Osasuna. It’s Barça’s eighth away won on the trot.
Real Madrid saw their third consecutive win under coach Juande Ramos and are up to joint second with Sevilla in the table, thanks again to Raul who has scored 212 goals for the side in 500 games. The speed of Robben and Higuaín was decisive in their 0-3 win at Mallorca.
Sevilla were losing 1-0 at half time, but the entry of Kanouté, after his 3000€ fine for showing a vest suppoting Palestine after scoring last week, turned the game around to give the Andalucian side a 1-3 win against Deportivo.
The crisis continues at Atlético who gave away three points to a visiting Athletic, 2-3. It was the third consecutive defeat for Atlético, in league and cup, suffering from a disastrous defence. There were chants in the Vicente Calderón from the crowd calling for the resignation of Javier Aguirre.
