The leader of the Partido Popular opposition in Spain called on the Government to take the same line as the European Union.
The leader of the Partido Popular opposition, Mariano Rajoy, has accused the PSOE Socialist party of ‘irresponsibility’ by talking of genocide in Gaza during last Sunday’s demonstration in Madrid. Rajoy said that it was Hamas which had broken the cease fire with Israel and Israel has the right to defence, although Rajoy added that it should be proportional. He called on the Government to take up a similar position to the European Union.
Meanwhile the Spanish Foreign Minister, Miguel Angel Moratinos has offered resources and materials for the reconstruction of Gaza. Speaking of the ‘total support’ of Spain for the Egyptian peace plan, Moratinos is on a tour of the area and meets with Olmert and Abu Mazen on Wednesday.

Wow. Sensible talk from the second dumbest man in Spain. (Right behind
Zapatero.)

Spain is facing financial ruin and the government is going to rebuild Gaza?
Ha, Ha, Rodríquez the cobbler's ministers do talk a load of cobblers.
He's even afraid to go there and have a look for himself.
The genocide he talks about is being committed by the terrorist group, Hamas, not the Isrealis.
Anyway, the Junta is committing illegal acts in Andalucía by demolishing legally built properties. Perhaps Rodríquez the cobbler should put his own house in order by rebuilding these properties before pretending that he is going to fix the world.
