The drug was being brought to shore in a high speed launch.A boat found to be carrying 4,000 kilos of cocaine has been intercepted by the authorities off the Costa da Morte in Galicia. The cargo came from the Colombian drug trafficking clans.
The interception operation was carried out by the National Police in collaboration with the Coastguard and took place last Sunday. The high powered boat was located first when some 10 miles off the Cala Armela in Loureiro-Muxia in A Coruña.
122 bales of the drugs had to be recovered from the sea. The number of detentions remains unclear.
