28 year old transsexual Aitor from Jaén has again be rejected by army recruitment officers after failing a medical

Aitor, the 28 year old transsexual from Jaén who dreams of serving in the Army has once again been rejected by the Spanish Ministry of Defence because of his lack of a penis.

He failed to pass the medical examination at the start of tests in Córdoba today enter the armed forces, and told the press outside the recruitment centre that he hoped for better luck next time. He said he was not angry as he expected the decision, but if they did not accept him next time then he would be back for a fourth of fifth time.

The Ministry of Defence rejected him because of a law passed in 1989 which stops a transsexual from entry into the armed forces if they lack a penis or testicles.
