All the regions of Spain, with the exception of Extremadura, remain on weather alert today, Friday, as snow, wind and rain continue to affect the country.
Orange alerts for snow are in force for Asturias, Cantabria, País Vasco, Navarra, parts of Huesca and Teruel, Palencia and León, as well as in La Rioja; 25cms of fresh snow is forecast in Asturias and Aragón.
Stong winds and high seas are forecast in Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria, Basque Country, Valencia, Balearics, Murcia and Almeria province. Waves have been six metres high and are expected to fall to four metres today.
Winds of upto 120 km/hour are continuing to affect the Balearics, and upto 100 km/hour in Navarra, La Rioja, Zaragoza and Huesca, upto 90 km/hour in Valencia, Murcia, Almería, Burgos, Palencia and Albacete.
A warning for avalanches has also been issued in the Pyrenees for the next few days.
Temperatures across the country will rise notably on Saturday.
