The public voted for 'Queridas Mascotas' by Federico Ferrer
The Falla ‘Queridas mascotas’, made by the artist, Federico Ferrer, for la Falla de Quart-Palomar, has been pardoned by popular vote and will not be burnt along with the other sculptures on March 19.
It shows a young girl getting dressed in Valencia costume while she plays with a dog, and obtained 13,595 votes, far more than the second placed ‘Magic flute’ which got 5,693 votes.
Artist Federico Ferrer said achieving the ‘Nino Indultat’ gives you prestige in the Falla world, and these things only happen to you once, but he vowed to continue in the profession and reach new levels.
