A 24 year old man has admitted to the murder of his uncle, 42 year old Emilio D.S., who was killed in countryside near Níjar two weeks ago after a shotgun attack on his vehicle. A friend who was him was not reported to have been hurt.
The victim was hit three times after he had got out of the vehicle, with two of them fired at point blank range, EFE reports.
The nephew, named as Ángel I.D., was arrested on Sunday 29th March and has reportedly confessed on being questioned by Civil Guard that the motive behind the killing was because his uncle had stopped making payments on bank loans for which his nephew had signed as guarantor.
EFE gives the total of the loans at around 180,000 €.
