All the adult males were escorted into Motril in the early hours of Thursday
The coastguard has rescued 35 immigrants from a patera small boat drifting some 30 miles off the Granada coastline.
The immigrants were brought into Motril port at around 3am on Thursday, where they received medical help from Red Cross volunteers. The Coastguard said that their boat had been taking on water in seas with three metre waves.
All the travellers are adult males from the Sub-Sahara area.
It’s the fourth patera to be intercepted by the Spanish authorities on the Costa Tropical in the month of May.
