Cheap players were sold with the music files already pre-loaded

The Municipal Police in Madrid have discovered a new way of illegally selling Mp3 and Mp4 audio files.

The music, which has been requested by the purchaser, is pre-loaded onto a cheap Mp3 player which is then sold with the archives already recorded onto it. Police in the capital have recovered 68 such players in their operation which was carried out in the Ciudad Lineal and Centro areas of the city.

The estimated profit of the group uncovered is 150,000 € and two arrests have been made and a wide range of computer and other equipment seized.
