Temperatures to hit 40 degrees in Sevilla this weekend

It's the first time temperatures have reached 40 degrees in Spain this summer

Summer can be said to have arrived in Spain this weekend as temperatures soaring to the high 30’s in many parts of the country and in the Guadiana, Guadalquivir and Tajo valleys in particular.
The only clouds in a country baked in sunshine will be along the Cantabrian coast and in the Western Pyranees.
Some cloud will form later in the day in mountainous areas inland.
Along the Mediterranean coasts, clear skies and weak NE winds can be expected. Mist may be possible in the area of the Strait with moderate E winds at times.

Temperatures will increase significantly in inland areas.

Highs: Granada 38, Murcia 35, Alicante Málaga Valencia 29, Almeria Tenerife 28, Cadiz 26,
Lows: Tenerife 22, Cadiz 21, Murcia Valencia 20, Alicante 19, Almeria Málaga 18, Granada 15,

Hottest places in Spain – Granada, Huelva, Jaén 38, with Sevilla reaching 40
Coolest overnight provincial capitals, Lugo, Vitoria 11

Outlook
The sunshine continues for most, but there will be cloud on the Costa del Sol on Sunday, and the weather will break on Monday and Tuesday when showers are forecast for the Costa Cálida and Blanca.
