Woman stabbed to death in Las Palmas car park

Her ex husband has been arrested

A woman has died in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria after allegedly being stabbed by her ex husband who tried to take his own life afterwards and who has been arrested.

It happened after 1030pm on Monday night in the car park of the Hoya de la Plata commercial centre on the outskirts of Las Palmas.

The victim has been named with the intitials M.R.D. and died despite the rapid intervention from health professionals. Her ex husband, F.R.E. was arrested shortly afterwards and had previously been denounced for domestic violence although no distancing order was in place.
