Despite the position the Spaniard said he enjoyed the race at Silverstone
Fernando Alonso said that his start in the British Grand Prix was bad, but that he had enjoyed the race greatly at Sliverstone. The driver from Asturias finished 14th in race which saw a double 1-2 win for the Red Bull team and victory for Vettel.
Alonso said it was impossible for him to overtake in his Renault, but that he spent the race fighting with another driver.
He explained the bad start, where he slipped four places, was caused by the position of the clutch. ‘We have nine positions for the clutch and they tell you which one to use’, he said. ‘Sometimes we get it right, others not so good’.
