It's thought an electrical fault could have led to the blaze which gutted a chalet

The residents of the Arcense del Santiscal urbanisation in Arcos de la Frontera, in Cádiz, suffered a tremendous shock on Tuesday morning when they saw how one of the chalets in the estate burst into flames.

The cause of the fire remains unclear, although the electrical installation is reported to be at the centre of investigations, but the blaze moved rapidly given the wooden roof to the building, creating such intense heat that it took firefighters four hours to put out the fire.

There was nobody in the chalet at the time, but the building and its contents was finally completed gutted.
