Yet another immigrant boat has reached the waters of Almería province, following the six small patera boats which arrived last Saturday and another on Sunday morning.
A vessel carrying 18 people was spotted some 50 miles off the eastern shores of Cabo de Gata this Tuesday afternoon. They were travelling on a Zodiac-type boat and are reported to have all been ‘very young’.
The passengers were taken to the port in La Garrucha, where they were attended by medical personnel from Cruz Roja. Their boat was spotted from the air with the help of the SIVE coastal surveillance system.
And a second boat, carrying a further 20 Moroccan male was found later in the same area. The occupants were taken also into Almería port where all were reported to be in good health.
