Two days official mourning have been ordered for Michael Peter Blake

The lady Mayor of San Fulgencio, the Socialist Trinidad Martínez, has ordered two days official mourning for the British councillor, Michael Peter Blake, who died on Tuesday night after suffering a brain haemorrhage. He was 61.

The Mayor described him as ‘todo un señor’.

His death leaves the governing group in the town in a minority, and his place on the council will probably be taken by another member of the AIM list – the Mediterranean Independent Association.
