57 injured in commuter train crash in Madrid

There are no reports of anybody seriously hurt in the collision in Aluche this morning
At least 57 people are reported to have been slightly injured in a collision between two local commuter trains this morning on the C5 line in Aluche, Madrid.
It happened after 7,30am this morning, and 12 of those hurt needed hospital treatment while the rest were treated at the scene. Reports indicate that the trains were both travelling slowly when the collision occurred. 1,800 passengers were travelling on the two trains involved.
Trains have been suspended on the C5 line and RENFE Spanish railways has opened an official investigation into what happened.
