It's alleged that immigrants were paid or offered work if they swelled the numbers at the PP rally in Valencia
The Valencia Prosecutors’ Office has opened an investigation into the allegation that the Partido Popular used immigrants to swell the numbers at their European election campaign rally in the city’s bullring.
The investigation will try to establish if pressure was applied on foreign workers to attend the rally as the Socialists accused the PP of making abusing immigrants’ rights.
One report at the time said a group of 39 immigrants were told they would be given garlic harvesting work if they attended the rally, but later the jobs did not appear.
