Set-back for the Environment Prosecutor in Cádizlarger |
smallerBy h.b. - Jun 28, 2009 - 3:42 PMIt means that architects cannot be charged for signing work certificates more than four years agoThe Environmental Prosecutor in Cádiz has suffered a set-back in his fight against illegal building in the province.
He had called for architects implicated in the falsification of work certificates to be considered in the same way as civil servants when it comes to charging them with possible penal crimes, has been rejected by the Cádiz Provincial Court.
It means that many of the possible charges which could have been placed against such architects will now be out of time as more than four years has passed since the events. Such an expiry does not apply in the case of civil servants.
The prosecutor is expected to appeal.
