The Socialists in the village of San Pedro de la Viña describe the fiesta as sexist

The fiestas held in the village of San Pedro de la Viña, Zamora, have raised a few eyebrows. Two women, wearing only bikinis, were given the job of cleaning their tractors, while people from the village, which has a total population of no more than 300, looked on.

The poster for the event said ‘Girls cleaning tractors and fighting with chocolate’.

The Socialist opposition in the Town Hall have accused the Mayor of being sexist, and the PSOE party has described the spectacle as degrading, but most of those who attended seemed to enjoy the show.

The opposition was also upset that the event, which resulted in several people getting wet in a small swimming pool, came in the programme directly after the children’s party at 7,30pm.
