The Prime Minister has promised an extra 100 million €

A meeting took place between the Spanish Prime Minister and the President of the Canary Island Government in Las Palmas on Monday.

Unemployment on the islands is the highest in Spain and during the meeting José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero promised Paulino Rivero an additional 100 million € to renovate the tourism industry and hopefully bring that unemployed number down.

The Prime Minister also said that he supported a reform to the legislation which would allow underage immigrants to be transferred to immigrant reception centres on the mainland.
