It has been confirmed that the tendonitis in his knees will stop him appearing against Germany next month

Disappointment for Marbella with the confirmation that Rafa Nadal will not be part of the Spanish Davis Cup team when they meet Germany in the quarter finals of the competition in the Puerto Banús bullring between the 10th and 12th of July.

Nadal, who had to drop out of Wimbledon, is suffering from tendonitis in his two knees and is also said to be very affected by the decision of his parents to separate.

An earlier injury also stopped Nadal from taking part in the earlier round of the competition against Argentina in Mar del Plata last year.
