He is the first to need hospital treatment so far this summerThis summer’s first serious victim of heatstroke in Murcia remains in a serious condition but is stable, the health authorities have confirmed. The 27 year old was found unconscious on a street in Murcia City last Sunday and has been in Intensive Care in the Reina Sofía hospital ever since. Europa Press reports indications that he may have been under the influence of drugs, although that has yet to be confirmed by the health authorities.
The Region has seen 14 minor cases of heat exhaustion since 1st June, which have all been treated at local health centres.
