The NCAST company has side-stepped the recession and announced new investment

The NCAST company which produces salt in Torrevieja is doing well despite the recession and has announced a new investment plan worth two million €.

It has the concession to extract salt from the laguna bajo, and says the new investment will allow improvements at its production plant in Torrevieja. Last year the plant produced as much as 700,000 tons of salt.
