The 38 year old pilot and his wife were unhurt
A light aircraft had to make an emergency landing on Sunday on the A-44 road which links Granada to the coast.
EFE news agency reports the plane came down at 5pm after a mechanical fault, and thankfully landed safely at the 144 km point with no injuries or material damage caused.
The 38 year old pilot from Almería, Ramón Suarez, who was travelling with his wife, told the newspaper Ideal that he was going to land in a field, but then he saw a space on the road and went for that.
