Dozens of people have been injured after an ETA terrorist bomb exploded next to the Guardia Civil barracks in Burgos.
The explosives were placed in a van, and the blast took place around 4am this morning, Wednesday.
37 people needed medical attention following the explosion, most of them after being hit by flying glass. The 14 story building was completely destroyed by the blast.
A spokesman from the Junta de Castilla y León, Jaime Mateu, commented that it was a miracle that no one was killed.
First reports indicate that there was no warning, and that the van was one of the three the authorities had warned about having been stolen, and probably prepared, in France.
It’s the second attack from ETA this year and produced severe damage to nearby property and some 11 flats.
