The 13 year old German boy who has been missing after falling into the sea off Calpe last Thursday has been found dead. The search which has been continuing since then was called off after his body was found floating in waters near the port on Sunday morning.

The youngster fell from the breakwater on Playa de la Fosa in rough seas which were affecting the area last Thursday. In fact, the bad weather conditions worsened on Friday, causing the search for the missing teenager to be suspended that day after some of those taking part were injured.

A man who fell into the same sea at the same spot on Thursday tried without success to reach the teenager but, in the event, had to be rescued himself. A third person managed to get out unaided.
