7,000 work at the Opel plant in FigueruelasAfter three months of negotiations with a final agreement for the future of the Opel car factory at Figueruelas in Zaragoza, it’s been revealed that General Motors is not going to sell to the Magna company after all.
Instead GM say they will work with a new restructure plan.
The news has welcomed with ‘surprise and uncertainty’ in Spain. 7,000 workers are based at the Zaragoza factory, considered to be the most efficient GM plant in Europe.
