Sixteen provinces across the country remain on weather alert for winds of up to 80kms/hour
The strong winds continue across much of the country, with Galicia the area most affected on Wednesday with thousands of fallen trees and cables. Mallorca and Melilla have also both suffered considerably. The Cantabrian fishing fleet has been held in port since last Friday, and does not expect to get out before next Monday.
Today Navarra, La Rioja, Teruel, Huesca, Zaragoza, Tarragona and Mallorca are on Orange Alert with W-NW winds of up to 80kms/hour forecast. Slightly weaker winds are predicted for Valencia, Almería, Málaga, Granada and Melilla, up to 70 kms/hour.

The snow line in the north is between 1000 and 1,400 m.
Elsewhere there will be cloudy intervals with the chance of light rain, less possible the further south and east you go.
No rain is expected on the Levante coast.

Outlook
Partly cloudy conditions continue for the rest of the week and weekend, but it should remain generally dry in the south of the country. A return to more stable and sunny conditions from Tuesday.
