Gaudí is played by the actor, José Luis López Vázquez, who died last An unreleased film on the life of Gaudí made by the Spanish actor, José Luis López Vázquez, who died last Sunday has been found in a cardboard box where it is thought to have been put 30 years ago.
A Catalan historian, Carles Querol, has found a copy of the film ‘Antonio Gaudí, una vision inacabada’ made in 1974. In it López Vázquez plays Gaudí, but the hour-long film was never released because, it seems, of a lack of money. It seems the financial problems and the inability to pay back a one million pesetas loan led to all copies of the film and negatives from it being embargoed.
The film was directed by the North American, John Alaimo, and talks about the architecture of several of Gaudí’s buildings through his own writings.
