The visit was 'unofficial' in character
Fernando Alonso made his first ‘unofficial’ visit to the Ferrari factory at Maranello on Friday and took a 458 Italia for a spin. His outstanding responsibilities to Renault meant that the visit could not be official. His official presentation by Ferrari has to wait.
The driver from Asturias took the opportunity to talk to some of the technicians in his new team and met with the President of Ferrari, Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, for half an hour.
