High temperatures and sunshine in the south of the country

Light to moderate rain forecast today in the west of Galicia, especially later in the day, and this will spread to the rest of the north east of the mainland. Cantabria, Navarra and the Pyrenees will also see showers which will move as far south as Extremadura.

In the rest of the peninsular clear skies are forecast with just some high cloud in places at times. Cloudy intervals on the Baleares will clear later, and on the Canaries showers will seen in the north of the islands.

Morning mist is likely in the western half of the country and in inland Cataluña.

Winds weak to moderate Westerly, with some strong gusts along the coasts and high ground of Galicia.

Highs: Santa Cruz de Tenerife 26, Málaga, Murcia 25, Alicante, Almería, Valencia 24, Granada 21, Cádiz, Santander 19, Madrid 16
Lows: Santa Cruz de Tenerife 20 Almería, Cádiz 15, Alicante, Málaga, Valencia 14, Murcia 13, Santander 12, Madrid 8, Granada 4

Outlook
Little change in conditions until the weekend and then a general increase in cloud in the south of the country. Some areas are expected to rain over the weekend and next week will start overcast.
