Benidorm is moving to adventure sports to try and attract new young British tourists. The Town Hall says it wants to open new lines of business with the travel companies given that the sales for next summer are already closed.
The new idea was launched by the local councillor for tourism, Manuel Cabezuelos, who was giving his opinions of the World Travel Market held earlier this week in London. Benidorm tourist department had meetings in London with Thomson on the adventure sports idea, with rambling, paragliding and bungee jumping among the activities on offer.
Manuel Cabezuelos also met in London with the U.K. Police Federation, a body with 140,000 members, and invited them to choose Benidorm for their holidays.
