20 minutos has more details on the allegations against the ex President of Real MadridMore revelations of the allegations against the ex President of Real Madrid, Lorenzo Sanz, who was arrested and questioned on Wednesday last week.
20 Minutos reports that police sources have said that he had tried to sell Spanish 16th,17th and 18th century paintings to the Calabria Mafia, as part of the purchase of the bankrupt Parma football club, in a case dating from 2005 although the mafia contacts date only from 2008.
The paintings were exported to an auction sale hall in Venice. The Italian police is reported to have documentation to indicate the link between Sanz and several Spanish antique dealers with the Ndrangheta mafia, based in the Calabria region.
